First Baptist Church is a traditional, moderate church with strong family ties.  We affirm autonomy, corporate worship, congregational inclusiveness, stewardship, service, missions, women’s leadership roles, and ecumenical activities as central to the life of a New Testament Church.  This church has a history of participating in and supporting community activities, but we stand firmly on the separation of church and state. 

We  choose to partner with numerous Baptist entities, including the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, Kentucky Baptist Fellowship, and Elkhorn Baptist Association.  We provide financial support to the Baptist Center for Ethics and Baptist World Alliance.  First Baptist is also a charter church of the Baptist Seminary of Kentucky. Because ours is a diverse family of faith, First Baptist also supports the Cooperative Program, Kentucky Baptist Convention, Clear Creek Baptist College, and Oneida Baptist Institute.
